the original
So being super busy I haven't posted in a while but I wanted to share some cool stuff with you all. So about 2 weeks ago I had the opportunity to do a really cool mini photo shoot. For my final for my freshman English class we had the assignment to create a children's magazine out of papers we had previously written. I worte a story on vampires in popular culture and revised it into a children's article on Dracula vs. the Twilight characters. So back to the point, my article was chosen for the cover so I got to come up with a concept and get some people together and take the picture. Side note: my camera broke over thanksgiving and I can't afford to replace it till February so these pictures were taken with my friends Kodak digital, personally i think they look AMAZING! I will post the actually cover and edits when I can get the program to run correctly.

I Told Myself I Would Never...

GET A BLOG. Yet, here I am; hypocritical, I know. As first post I feel that I should first and foremost state my reasoning for starting this digital fountain of knowledge as a sort of informal mission statement. As a lonely, lost, and wayward college freshman soon to finish up my first semester (woot woot) I have been in search of what I would like to do with the rest of my working life. As an aside- kids they tell you just to get to college and you will figure out what you want, but disclaimer:
IT'S NO EASIER ONCE YOU ARE HERE.
Okay with that done, I have always been indecisive with personal choices. While most of the careers considered have centered around the arts and entertainment I have finally found my calling! I think. Well for now I am working towards something in photography and art directing. Alas! A blog, to show first of all my progression towards this goal: right now I am starting from square one and I need to learn everything from the bottom. And second, I hope to give the world a piece of my personality: I feel that it doesn't matter how good you are at something if you can't be yourself while do it it. In reading through some material I have found that many companies like to see future employees and interns' blogs to get to know them.

So that is my crazy, unorganized, unofficial mission statement. You can expect commentary on my crazy journey, personal anecdotes, and if your lucky I'll share my most famous, yet secret recipes.
